Emmanuel House had a revolutionary way of fighting poverty – but no one understood it. Journalists misclassified or miscategorized the organization’s work, donors struggled to understand exactly where their money went, and employees struggled to give simple explanations. Before the organization could live up to its world-changing potential, it needed to make itself understood.
